Hssc Examinations: Girls outshine boys in Gilgit

GILGIT: Public Schools and Colleges (PSC) Jutial topped the Higher Secondary School Certificate [HSSC] Examinations from Gilgit, with girls grabbing each of the top three positions, an official announcement said on Monday. Bushra Ali achieved first position by scoring 948 marks out of 1,100, while Rubina Khan grabbed second position by obtaining 945 marks. Nagahat Zehra stood third by scoring 943 marks. Out of 187 students who appeared in the examinations, 180 students passed, while seven failed. Earlier, female PSC students also topped the Matriculation examinations, with 94 per cent students passing the exams. The outstanding result of the institution was widely appreciated in Gilgit, with the feat being attributed to the professional commitment of the principal and teachers.
