After the couple made headlines with their extravagant wedding festivities, lovebirds Minal Khan and Ahsan Mohsin Ikram jetted off for a fairytale honeymoon in the Maldives. As expected, the couple shared pictures throughout their trip from all the stops they made on the honeymoon, giving their fans and other social media users cooped up at home major wanderlust.
Minal kicked off the travel spam with a picture of her posing on the flight. The starlet captioned the picture, “And we’re off,” with her celebrity friends Areeba Habib and Kinza Hashmi wishing the couple safe and happy travels in the comments. Minal also shared a selfie with her husband mid-flight, with actor Ghana Ali telling the couple to have a good time in the comments on the post.
The Jalan actor then went on to share a picture of the couple in the Maldives, arm in arm in front of the sea. Hira Mani commented on the photo, writing, “Allah buri nazar se bachaye ameen. Khush raho hamesha [May God protect you. Stay happy always].”
Sharing moments of the two lounging by the beach and living their best lives, Minal posted pictures of herself in a summery floral shirt, white flowy shrug and flip flops in true beach-babe fashion.
The starlet also made use of boomerangs, filming Ahsan on the iconic Maldives swings, and posted videos of herself casually strolling along the sea.
The couple then went on to share pictures from their next stop, Dubai. Posing in front of the giant aquarium in Dubai Mall, Minal wrote, “Calling you special would be an understatement, you’re my everything baby. I loved you before, I will love you today, and I will love you tomorrow and forever.”
Minal also posed in front of the Burj Khalifa, with the couple posting a romantic photo from the Undersea Restaurant.
However, the couple, as expected, had to deal with quite some criticism and trolling online, especially on the topic of Minal’s clothing. After a commenter called Minal “shameless” and asked Ahsan to do something about her outfits, which users found revealing, he replied, “Sorry to burst your bubble, but I dreamt of a liberal Pakistan where women are allowed to make their own decisions and are not controlled by their husbands, brothers or fathers. My job is to guide, never dictate.”
