Voicing your opinions comes at a price: Hania Aamir

Actor recently did an Instagram Q&A with the fans and shared why she has decided to stay inactive on Instagram

It's been a while since we have seen starlet Hania Aamir grace our screens with an impromptu Insta post. The actor, who had always been rather active on the social application, has been keeping a low profile since the Dilruba star engaged in an ugly spat with rumoured beau Asim Azhar. While this wasn't the first time Hania was dragged into a needless debate, this time around the artist deemed it to be a lesson learned.

However, she recently did an Instagram Q&A with the fans and broke the silence as to why she has decided to stay inactive on the app. Hania addressed the reasons for being more critical of what she posts on her socials after being scrutinised by fans of sharing her personal life often on social media.

The infamous Insta-game

When a fan asked Hania, "Why are you not as active on Instagram as you used to be?", she responded, "Don't feel like it anymore."

The actor went on to elaborate, "I've picked enough battles here. Voicing your opinions comes at a price and the price is your mental health. The gossip, the mean comments and the 'putting each other down' on the internet had started getting to me. And honestly, I lost faith in humanity so I need a break. I don't feel like putting my life out there anymore."

Hania further added, "To be honest, I'm at peace. I like that people know less and say less. Maybe one day Instagram and I can rekindle the friendship we once had but for now, I'm good."

This week, the world was facing a 'social blackout' when Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp weren't working for users globally, Hania was having a good time with her friends on an impromptu trip to Lahore. Speaking of the same, the actor replied, "I was on an impromptu trip to Lahore, having some really fun conversations. It really didn't make a difference."

Single but ready to mingle?

Hania's love life has also been a topic of discussion on social media. The Ishiqiya actor, as expected, was bombarded by the questions of whether she's currently dating someone. "Are you single?" a fan inquired. "If you are then are you looking for someone?"

"[I'm] single yes," the actor responded. "I'm not looking for anything. Just spending quality time with the people that are closest to me, focusing on my craft and working really, really hard. Actively looking for someone doesn't work, to be honest. When it is meant to be, it is meant to be. God works in mysterious ways."

When someone asked if she would want to be married, Hania hilariously responded as she shared a clip on the same topic by popular model Kendall Jenner, where the latter shared she would love to get married but isn't.

Strong support system

The actor also spoke about having a strong support system and amazing friends. Recalling an incident, Hania added, "My friend got pissed at a girl who said something about me and ranted on the internet for an hour. I have the best girlfriends."

The actor also spoke about how proud she was of her friends. When asked to pick a friend she's the proudest of, Hania replied, "All of them. I am constantly surrounded by ambitious, creative, hardworking and funnies individuals."

Down the pipeline

The Parwaaz Hai Junoon star also shed light on her upcoming projects. When asked if there are any upcoming dramas she would be starring in, Hania, without divulging into details, revealed she is currently shooting for two dramas. She also shared she would be open to work in a romantic comedy as well.

The backstory

In June this year, Hania locked horns with Asim, which resulted in the two airing their dirty laundry on social media. Hania was later left traumatised when a man joined her in a live Insta session and ended up ejaculating on her picture. She addressed the former matter later in an Instagram post, which she later deleted. Taking to the photo-sharing app, the Dil Ruba actor posted a clip with a caption, “Just another day surviving in a misogynist world where double standards have power over innocence and where coexisting with the difference of opinion is not a thing. Where a man trying to belittle a woman is applauded but if a woman does the same she is hated.”

The actor then reinstated how her initial video, which was misrepresented, merely showed her affection towards her loved ones, but clearly, the opposite is acceptable in the world we live in. “Where a woman showing affection to her loved ones is wrong but a man ejaculating on a woman’s picture on video on the internet is re-tweeted and made viral content. Just another day surviving, hope you all are doing well in this disgusting world and keeping your goodness intact. Someone else’s evil shouldn’t ruin your goodness,” she concluded.
