A man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting his six-year-old daughter in the city on Sunday.
Police registered a case against the alleged rapist.
According to the police report filed by Sonia Bibi, she had gone to work and her daughter was at home when her husband Mohammad Khalid allegedly raped the daughter.
After the victim made noise, neighbours gathered on the spot and caught the alleged rapist red-handed. Khalid confessed to the crime in the presence of the neighbours. Police reached the crime scene and arrested the suspect.
Meanwhile, a 14-year-old boy was standing outside his house in Chak No 408GB when the suspect Sikandar Hayat lured the minor and took him to nearby crops where he raped him.
After the victim made noise, the villagers gathered on the spot. The suspect managed to escape from the crime scene.
