ISLAMABAD:

Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to the respondents in the petition against the MDCAT examination and sought a reply from the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).

The petition, filed by three students, stated that 60,000 people are facing difficulties because of the MDCAT test conducted by PMC.

The court has been requested to stop PMC from carrying out the controversial test. The students said they should hold the exam in public universities and not through any private institution.

The petitions pleaded the court to restrain PMC from allowing admissions until the conclusion of the case.

Sardar Abdul Razaaq filed the petition on behalf of the students, who have taken the plea that the procedure followed, this time around, for the medical test was illegal.

The petitioners said that section 18 of PMC Act 2020 binds the conducting of tests across the country on the same date. However, they said, entrance tests were conducted online from August 30 to September 30 this year.

SAQUIB ZAHUR | 3 years ago | Reply The equivalence between last year mdcat result and this year s result is the key factor in determining the fate of the fresh students aspiring to get admission in medical college. Last year the examination was very easy while this year s examination is altogether very difficult as evident from the results as can be appreciated from the results. Even the students repeating the examination have scored 30 to 40 marks less. So please be fair with the students.
