Security plan devised for Urs

10,000 police officers will perform duties to ensure protection of participants

Lahore Police has chalked out a comprehensive security plan for the three days celebrations of 978th annual Urs of famous saint Hazrat Data Ali Hajveri as well as processions of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar visited the shrine on Friday and inspected the security arrangements at different gates and roads adjacent to shrine.

SP City Rizwan Tariq briefed the CCPO regarding the security arrangements.

Dogar said that more than 10,000 police officers and officials including SPs, DSPs, Inspectors, Upper subordinates as well as teams of Dolphin Squad, PRU and Elite Force will perform duties to ensure protection of the participants of the Urs and processions.

He also said that all the logistic and operational arrangements had been finalized in this regard with collaboration of the management of shrine of Data Darbar, district government and related departments.
