Deepika Padukone hints at biopic on PV Sindhu
Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone has shared a series of pictures from her badminton session with world champion shuttler PV Sindhu. The pictures have left social media users wondering if a biopic is on the way.
Posting the set of pictures on Instagram, Deepika wrote in the caption: "Just a regular day in my life...Burning calories with @pvsindhu1!" The two can be seen playing an intense game of badminton on an indoor court.
Deepika, who is the daughter of former badminton player Prakash Padukone, now has over 1.9 million likes on her posts. Deepika's husband and actor Ranveer Singh dropped a comment on the photograph saying, “major FOMO attack!"
Social media users, however, speculated with comments like, “Lagta hai biopic banne waali hai (seems like a biopic is in the making)." Another added, “This means I was right, we are getting the PV SINDHU BIOPIC!”
Heaping praises for both the actor and the champion, many further chimed in saying, "Two idols in one picture." While another questioned, "Is there a biopic on the way?" A netizen asked, "Have you begun preparations for the Sindhu's biopic!?"
Earlier, Deepika and Sindhu had met each other for a dinner in Mumbai. Taking to his Instagram handle, Ranveer had posted a selfie from their dinner night at Worli restaurant, according to Zee News. Donning the brightest smiles, the stars made their best glamorous appearances for the night. Ranveer captioned the post saying: "Smashing time!"
Meanwhile, Sindhu recently became the first Indian woman to claim two Olympic medals after she won a badminton bronze medal in Tokyo in August, adding to her silver from Rio 2016. The ace Indian shuttler defeated China’s He Bingjiao 21-13, 21-15 in the bronze medal match.
