Another 12 persons succumb to Covid

Sindh reports 650 new infections

Sindh reported 12 more coronavirus fatalities and 650 new cases on Sunday, bringing the provincial death toll and the tally of confirmed cases to 7,270 and 450,104, respectively.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister's House, 650 more persons were diagnosed when 16,277 samples were tested for the contagion.

Another 297 persons also recovered from the infection, bringing the number of recoveries thus far to 413,756, added the statement.

It stated that there were 29,078 patients under treatment for Covid-19 in Sindh. Of them, 28,434 were isolating at home, 40 were in isolation centres and 604 were admitted at different hospitals, where the condition of 547 patients was critical. At least 43 patients were on ventilators.

Of the 650 new cases, 244 were detected in Karachi and 86 in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Shaheed Benazirabad reported 37 new cases, Matiari 27, Dadu 23, Jamshoro as many, Kambar Shahdadkot 22, Badin 19, Larkana 11, Shikarpur as many, Naushero Feroze seven, Ghotki five, Khairpur three, Jacobabad four, Sanghar two and Kashmore and Mirpurkhas each reported one new case.
