ISLAMABAD:

National Security Adviser Dr Moeed Yusuf has alleged that India orchestrated a hoax narrative and used Afghan soil to perpetrate terrorism against Pakistan.

“Pakistan has always supported dialogue and political settlement to end the war in Afghanistan, and was badly affected by war in Afghanistan,” he wrote in an article published in The Independent – the British online newspaper on Saturday.

The NSA raised the question of whether the world would repeat the mistake of leaving Afghanistan and the region. “We lost over 80,000 innocent lives and bore the burden of over $150 billion economic losses,” it read.

It is the collective responsibility of the international community to avoid creating a humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, Moeed said, adding that the Taliban has signalled to work with the international community, where the latter should coordinate its efforts.

He was of the view that the international community should move forward with consensus with the major powers and Afghanistan’s close neighbours.

kadwa sach | 3 years ago | Reply Why is the NSA again making allegations without providing hard irrefutable evidence Such outbursts are damaging to Pakistan s credibility if it has any that is in the international arena where even Muslim brother nations tend to ignore it most of the time. Mr. Yusuf please hold your breath and make statements that can be corroborated with evidence failing which you will reduce Pakistan s status to that of a pariah.
