The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has granted a fintech commercial approval for EMI (Electronic Money Institution) licence.

Finja had earlier become the first fintech to receive, in principle, approval for the licence on April 9, 2020 from the SBP.

With the approval of its EMI licence, Finja becomes the only fintech in the country to hold multiple regulatory licences, allowing it to scale its consumer-facing brand, the Finja App.
