In a streak of sexual violence cases, at least two women, a teenage girl and an 11-year-old boy were raped in separate incidents.
According to a police report registered by the father of the 11-year-old victim, a resident of Chak 462GB, his son was on his way to a grocery store when a man named Mithi lured him into the fields and raped him.
Police said the preteen was asked to help get a herd of goats out of Dr Amjad’s farm and as soon as he went inside he was taken hostage at gunpoint and molested.
A case has been registered against the suspect under sections 376 and 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The cops are raiding on tip offs to arrest the accused.

In another case, a woman was sexually abused when she went to inspect a house for rent.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, a cop revealed that the victim, a resident of 219RB Zahid Town Razaabad area, had gone to Lahore Chowk to look for a rental property. She had inquired about available houses from a local shopkeeper when the suspect identified as Mudassar son of Atif, a resident of Street 18 Bazaar No 3, approached and offered her to see a house available for rent. He allegedly took her inside the house and raped her at gunpoint.
In Chak 225 Amjad Abad, a 14-year-old girl was raped by a member of the extended family.
Reportedly, the teenager was alone at her residence when her older sister’s brother-in-law Shaukat Ali forced himself upon her. Police said they are searching for the suspect and probing the matter in detail.
Meanwhile, a wedding proposal party was left in tears when a 35-year-old woman was sinisterly separated from the family by the suspect and molested.
Obaid Bibi, a resident of 38 Chak Patokki District, told the police that she came to Chak 612GB with her 35-year-old sister, Liaqat Ali and others to see a suitor for her other sister.
“Anwar, son of Shahmand, a resident of 612GB, took me and Liaquat to a dera near the house on the pretext of showing cattle.
He left us unattended at the dera and returned to his house where he sexually abused my sister,” she lamented adding that when the victim screamed for help, he left her naked and fled. She further said that a lot of people gathered on the spot after hearing the hue and cry of the victim.
The cops have registered a case against the accused and are raiding the area to put him behind bars. Sexual violence against minors was rampant across the province.
On April 9, a man raped a 9-year-old girl in Christian Colony area of Adhorai village, Gujranwala. The 9-year-old daughter of Joseph Masih, an employee of the Metropolitan Corporation, went to the grocery store to buy groceries. When the girl returned home after a while, she was crying.
The girl told her parents that a man had abused her.
A day prior to this incident, a 14-year-old girl was raped at gunpoint in Khurrianwala.
