Police arrest three men in torture case

Victim had a property dispute with the suspects

Police on Thursday arrested three suspects for torturing a woman on a property dispute.

The suspects identified as Imran, Usman and Ahmad had a property dispute with the victim identified as Rabia. Two days back, they stormed a property office the victim was visiting and subjected her to sever torture.

They strip her clothes and beat up. She made a call on 15. Police have arrested the suspects and were investigating the matter further.

Earlier in July, at least 11 people are booked for torturing a young man who was going to buy grocery and sharing a video of the incident on social media. Police registered a case against the suspects under various legal provisions.

According to the police report, Wajid Ali, a resident of Farid Chowk area of Gulberg, filed a case stating that his 16-year-old son Abu Zar was going to buy grocery and cigarettes when the suspects Faisal and others kidnapped him on motorcycles, took him to an unknown place and tortured him. “They also made a video of the incident and later made it viral. Then my son was handed over to one Owais Akram,” he added.
