PESHAWAR:

Border officials handed over 126 Afghan refugees to the Afghan authorities earlier on Saturday morning.

These Afghan refugees were apprehended by Peshawar police on Friday in connection with hurling stones at police, damaging public properties and disruption of public order.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Afghan refugees were celebrating Youm-e-Istehsal in Phase three Square which disrupted the traffic flow and resulted into a verbal conflict that lead to violent skirmishes between locals and Afghan nationals due to which few vehicles got damaged and some persons also sustained injuries.
