Law minister flays resignation demand by PML-N leader

Responding to a statement of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Azma Bukhari, Punjab Law and Cooperatives Minister Basharat Raja on Saturday said it was not appropriate to call law and order situation in the province as bad based on the action by some individuals.
He said that no concession would be made to any person involved in molestation incidents including the sad incident that occurred at Greater Iqbal Park.

The law minister said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government had shown exemplary performance in bringing high profile cases to a logical conclusion in accordance with the law.
He said, "those who talk about safe environment for women should not forget the Model Town incident in which pregnant women were shot dead."
