PPP obstructing improvement of education facilities: Haleem
Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh on Monday termed the Pakistan Peoples Party-led Sindh government the main obstacle in the provision of better facilities of education and health in the province.
Addressing a press conference at the Sindh Assembly, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader claimed that the single national curriculum (SNC) would be pivotal in removing educational disparity among different sections of society.
He felicitated Prime Minister Imran Khan, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood and his team on introducing a uniform curriculum and ending the prevailing dual education system. This would open vistas of new opportunities for lower income groups, according to Haleem.

Past governments failed in providing better facilities of quality education to the lower and middle class and only the elite class were able to afford the expanses of English medium educational institutes and opportunities abroad, said Haleem, adding that the dual system had deprived the poor of better education for decades. “Opposition of single educational systems in the country unveils the real face of PPP, which kept opposing even the people-friendly move of the federal government,” he claimed.
