An investigation was under way and all facts would come to light soon, he added. In June, at least four students of Government Science College Wahdat Road were injured in a clash between two groups in Lahore.
In a video message, a student claimed that some suspects were involved in harassing and torturing students. They detained and tortured students for no reason and harassed them through their alleged links in the police and administration, he alleged.
A clash erupted over the video, in which four students were injured. DSP Iqbal Town Mustehsin Shah said it was a dispute between the Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) and hostel residents.
An FIR was registered in this regard.
Replying to a question, Shah said the record of the Jinnah Hospital where the injured students were shifted did not mention any death.
Government Science College Wahdat Road is situated next to Punjab University.
A few days earlier, the university administration had arrested a student trying to enter the university with over three dozen bottles of liquor.
He reportedly revealed during investigations that he was smuggling the bottles to a leader of a student group.
