Disagreements between Balochistan Assembly Speaker Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and Chief Minister Jam Kamal escalated further when the former made a statement against the latter and expressed his reservations during Assembly proceedings on Wednesday, prompting strong reaction from the incumbent members of the provincial government.

Due to the ensuing disagreement, the speaker decided to abandon his official security protocol while leaving his home as he headed out to chair the Assembly session on Thursday.

Expressing his reservations again during the session, Bizenjo said, “The government should remove me from my designated post if I am not acceptable to them.” Later, he drove back home in his personal car after assembly proceedings ended, this time leaving behind the government vehicles allotted to him in an attempt to register his protest.

Shortly after, CM Kamal called a meeting of sitting members of the government and decided to take action against the speaker and bring a no-confidence motion against him.

Taunting the assembly proceedings, the provincial chief executive said, “Has the House ever been run with such irresponsibility, frivolity, humor and apathy that it is running now?”

Jam Kamal advised Bizenjo to fulfill his responsibilities as a speaker properly. He added that the entire responsibility for the recent attack on the Assembly rests with the speaker, who was a spectator at the nearby Serena Hotel.

"He should pay attention to his constituency where he has not visited even once in three years," the CM said. "Anyone who can't run their own constituency or Assembly should keep their childish advice to himself and focus on his work instead.”

The chief minister maintained that the person who caused destruction of the Awaran district of Balochistan wants the same situation to prevail in the entire province. “I can't leave Awaran helpless in the hands of a frivolous person nor can I allow schemes to be destroyed due to immense corruption.”

Jam Kamal further said that the government has already taken action and will continue to do so. "Wherever there is weakness in work, the government will take action, whether it is my constituency or district," he said, adding that Bizenjo has a big hand in all the ensuing conspiracies that have caused damage to the work being carried out in the province.

CM Kamal also warned the speaker to not interfere in party matters, alleging that Bizenjo had intentions to break the party from the first day and he should not teach them how to run party affairs.
