OKARA:

University of Okara organised a seminar on the eve of the International Youth Day to sensitise students of various departments on active citizenship, civic responsibility and personal development.

The seminar was followed by a rally and tree plantation.

A Green Youth Movement Club (GYMC) was also formed in order to engage the students in different co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

University VC Prof Muhammad Zakria Zakar said, “We have more than 64 per cent population under the age of 30 and they have great potential for social and economic change.”
