Man ‘shoots dead’ brother to avenge wife’s murder in Khurrianwala
A man allegedly shot dead his brother over his wife’s murder in Khurrianwala.
According to the police, Mustansir, a young man who came to the home of his elder brother Mazhar Abbas from Jalalpur was shot dead by him to avenge the murder of his wife Asma.
The suspect buried the victim in fields near his home.
When Mustansir did not contact his family and his mobile phone was found switched off, his father Qalb Abbas contacted Mazhar.
The suspect allegedly confessed , “I killed Mustansir yesterday and buried his body.”
On the complaint of the father of the victim, the police arrested Mazhar and shifted the body to hospital for postmortem after retrieving it with the help of information provided by him.
In another incident, a man was shot dead by his opponents on Thursday.
According to the police report, Alam Sher, a resident of Chak No. 582GB, was sleeping at home with his uncle Muhammad Asghar when his opponent Abdul Qayyum and three others climbed the wall of the house and shot him, leaving him injured.

He was shifted to Allied Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police registered a case under different sections of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) including 34 and 302 against the suspect nominated by the victim's uncle Asghar and started searching for them.
In an earlier incident of murder by a member of the family of the victim, a man shot dead his elder brother in December last year over a domestic dispute and managed to escape. Police took the body into custody and handed it over to the family after postmortem.
Police said that 35-year-old Owais, son of Rafiq, a resident of 465GB village near Sammundri, was employed at a kiln and had a domestic dispute with his younger brother Tanzeel.
Owais was sitting in the poultry farm of Mohammad Amir near his house after work when the Tanzeel along with two unidentified accomplices came on a motorcycle and shot him five times.
As a result, the victim died on the spot. After postmortem, the body of was handed over to the heirs by Sammundri police. The police filed a case under Sections 302 and /34 of PPC on the complaint of the victim’s widow Muqaddas Bibi.
On November 29 last year, a man allegedly shot dead his brother and sister-in-law over a land dispute in Dijkot.
