Police yet to arrest petrol pump robbers

Armed gang has robbed four gas stations in five days

Police have so far failed to arrest the gang that robbed petrol pumps in Korangi.

The armed group robbed four petrol pumps in the last five days. The gunmen looted pumps at Korangi's Murtaza Chowrangi, Vita Chowrangi, Nasir Jump and Mansehra Colony. During the incidents, the bandits snatched thousands of rupees from cashiers and weapons from security guards before fleeing.

CCTV footage of the incident also came to light. On August 2, the criminal gang robbed a petrol station near Korangi's Murtaza Chowrangi within the Sharafi Goth police jurisdiction. In this incident, the armed criminals snatched Rs25,000 from the cashier of the pump. The accused also resorted to firing and passersby were lucky to escape unharmed.

The faces of the armed men, riding on motorcycles, were clearly identifiable in CCTV footage. On July 28, the gang robbed two petrol pumps in the Korangi Industrial Area police jurisdiction. The first incident took place at a pump near Nasir Jump and the second at Vita Chowrangi.

In both incidents, the suspected armed criminals snatched thousands of rupees from the cashier and weapons from the security guard. The group also robbed a petrol pump in Mansehra Colony and managed to escape after looting thousands of rupees from the cashier of the petrol pump.
