‘Only national party can fight PPP oppression’

Kamal believes PSP is ready to take on Sindh’s ruling party

KARACHI:

Pak Sarzameen Party Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday said that only a national party can fight the oppression of PPP. He said that party is none other than PSP.

"Sindhis never voted for [the] Jiye Sindh [party], but always voted for PPP. The people's party of the Mujahir community is PSP. MQM is the mohajir version of Jiye Sindh and the result is in front of us today."

He said that the sake of peace in Karachi, PSP has accepted the slaying of seven loyalists. "We did not sacrifice precious human lives in order to liberate Karachi only to hand the city over to Asif Ali Zardari. Even today, some people are advising muhajirs to unite and engage in ethnic politics."

He assured the PSP would never engage in linguistic politics for religious or worldly reasons. Kamal stated that before MQM was formed 35 years ago, the muhajirs were more prosperous.
