Kamal orders timely completion, monitoring of uplift projects

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has directed the departments to improve the monitoring system of development schemes and submit quarterly review report.

“Ensure timely implementation of development projects and release of funds so that the fruits of the development process reach the people in a timely manner,” he expressed these views during a review meeting on the progress of road and building sector projects and the commencement of implementation of building sector schemes.

Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Hafiz Abdul Basit, Secretary Finance Abdul Rehman Buzdar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Zahid Saleem, Secretary Building Ghulam Ali Baloch, Secretary Roads Saleem Awan, Secretary Local Government Ahmad Raza, Secretary Information Sohail Rehman Baloch, Secretary Implementation Abdullah Khan and other officials attended the meeting.

In the meeting. The Chief Minister directed that meetings of PDWP and DSC committees for approval of development projects be held regularly to review new development projects.

The Chief Minister directed that the Divisional Committees for monitoring and implementation of the projects should be made more active.

Earlier, the ACS Planning and Development informed the meeting that the development program for the financial year 2021-22 includes 3,811 projects out of which 2,286 are new and 1,525 are ongoing.

The meeting was informed by the building department that a master plan has been prepared for the construction of model boarding schools.

These 15-acre schools will provide hostel, gymnasium, ground, staff accommodation and other facilities.

The meeting was also briefed on the construction of District Residential Complex, new and ongoing development projects in the road sector, 105 and 77 priority projects.

The Chief Minister on the occasion directed to ensure timely and quality completion of the projects.
