Teachers’ organisations are of the view that introducing a uniform curriculum will not be possible from the new academic year starting August 2 this year. Teachers have complained that the government has announced the introduction of a uniform curriculum. However, only English medium books from one to five classes have been sent to schools while they will not implement the Urdu medium curriculum this year.

Teacher leaders Basharat Iqbal Raja, Shafiq Bhalwalia, and Akhyan Gul said that the new academic year in private schools had started from April. The schools have already started teaching according to their old curriculum. They said that instead of doing experiments on the education system, a new education policy should be formulated in consultation with all stakeholders.
