THEKRI WALA:

A young girl was allegedly gang-raped in Thikriwala on Saturday.

Police said four people abducted a girl at gunpoint from the Factory Area and took her to a secluded place where they raped her. Police said action has been taken in the case filed by Sajida Parveen, a resident of Ayub Research that her niece lived with her.

Parveen said, “she left home yesterday for some work when the suspect Ramzan and four others kidnapped her at gunpoint and took her to an undisclosed place where they raped her.”

The suspects left the victim stranded on Jhang Road when her condition deteriorated after which she was rushed to a hospital.

Police registered a case under Section 376(Punishment for rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against four suspects including Ramzan in the light of the medical report.

Meanwhile, the Factory Area Police started raids to arrest the named suspect.

Earlier this year in February, a 20-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by two of her neighbours in Lahore’s Mozang area.

The victim was alone at her residence when her neighbours Ehsan Ali and Hassan allegedly barged into the house, subjected her to severe torture and then sexually assaulted her.

The victim filed a complaint with the police against the two suspects. Police claimed to have registered a case and are searching for the suspects in the case to investigate the matter further.
