While the overall automotive industry figures of Pakistan seem promising, data reveals that the growth experienced by the Pakistani car market still remained 12.3% lower than the pre-pandemic levels. It significantly affected the competitive landscape of the Pakistani automobile industry.
During the pandemic, Indus Motor Company (IMC), the manufacturer of Toyota vehicles in Pakistan, bid farewell to the Corolla XLI and GLI. They introduced Yaris, a vehicle known to stand out for its mix of rugged styling and efficiency that is bang on the zeitgeist, in March 2020
Sedans typically have a vast consumer market, because they offer affordability with convenience and style. However, when the Toyota Yaris was launched, activations enabled car enthusiasts to experience what the hype was all about was limited due to the lockdown.
With optimal vehicle stability due to optimised traction control, steering wheel switches, climate control, tire pressure monitoring system, push start and smart entry, 6.8-inch display, ABS, EBD & BA, hill start assist control, and many other security features, Toyota Yaris was made to outshine its competitors in the Sedan sector.
