Jeh-ad or Jeh-angir: Indian trolls are busy deciphering Saif-Kareena's newborn's name

Some seem to think that Jeh is for Jehangir or Jalaluddin Akbar - names of popular Mughal rulers

Back in 2017, when Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's firstborn Taimur was born, social media was ecstatic for the couple. Many congratulated the duo, waited patiently for the pictures to go viral.

However, the excitement soon died down when Bollywood's 'it' couple announced their baby's name.
Taimur or Timur became the topic of discussion on social media, prompting clarifications by the worried parents of a toddler. As the couple welcomes their second baby, history seems to be repeating itself. While the name of the baby had been kept under wraps lately, Randhir Kapoor, Kareena's father, recently confirmed that his grandson has been named Jeh.

Thus, the trolling began. Some seem to think that Jeh is for Jehangir or Jalaluddin Akbar - names of popular Mughal rulers. However, in a rather bizarre turn, one user suggested that Jeh is apparently short form for Jehad.

A social media user wrote, “I’m 101% sure Saif and Kareena wanted to name their second kid Jehangir but didn’t want backlash they faced for Taimur so just shortened it to Jeh.”

Another wrote, “Saif and Kareena announced their second baby name as “Jeh” as per my opinion it’s short of “Jehaad.”

One more commented, “Jehlalludin is the full name."

The couple is yet to address the latest 'controversy'.

Back in 2017, the Cocktail star had finally addressed naming his baby Taimur, Mumbai Mirror reported.  "Social media just makes it clear what everybody is thinking in a sense. There is a lot of anonymity from the side of the people who are doing the talking so they feel free to say whatever they like, and sometimes they get very nasty...And that's fine. It doesn't mean that twenty, thirty or forty years ago people weren't thinking similar things but maybe they did not have an outlet then," he had said.
