Police have arrested a robbery suspect who escaped from Mansoorabad police station in Chak Jhumra on Thursday.

DSP Sargodha Road has written to the Deputy Constable and constable in the inquiry and sent the report to SSP Operation and recommended to dismiss him.

Police said the suspect was involved in the case of burglary; robbery was on a three-day physical remand in Mansoorabad police station three days ago.

The suspect was taken out from custody by Deputy Constable Ansar Nadeem as seen in the CCTV footage. After taking him out of custody, Omar Farooq, a sentry, conspired with the accused helped him fleeing.

After which the police officers arrested both the employees and formed teams to arrest the suspect.

On which Mansoorabad SHO Ashfaq Bajwa arrested all the family members of the suspect Zeeshan Yusuf.

However, Zeeshan surrendered and his family members were released after that.

Police completed an inquiry against accused Ansar Majeed, Deputy Constable (naib muharar) and Constable Umar Farooq, involved in Case 769/21 Crime 223-224.

It was stated in the police report which was sent to SSP Operation and CPO that both the police personnel took out the suspect, misused their powers and helped him flee from custody.

SSP Operation Muhammad Afzal suspended both the employees and issued show cause notices to them.
