Road accidents claim 8 lives in Balochistan

According to details, two vehicles loaded with Iranian fuel collided near Katagiri area

At least eight people were killed and 22 sustained injuries in different road accidents across Balochistan on Thursday.

According to details, two vehicles loaded with Iranian fuel collided near Katagiri area of the district Panjgur due to speeding, as a result four people were burnt to death on the spot as the vehicles caught fire soon after the collision.

Officials told The Express Tribune that both vehicles were smuggling Iranian fuel and caught fire after collision, resultantly four motorists were burnt alive, two of them were identified as Sajid and Usama, residents of Jain Poom while the other two could not be identified because their bodies had been burnt beyond recognition.

In another accident, two people were killed and 22 injured, when a passenger coach heading to Uthal from Karachi met an accident and collided with a truck on main National Highway near Naka Khari Winder.

The bodies and injured were shifted to Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital Hub, where four of the seriously injured were referred to Karachi for further treatment.
