ICT rural areas to get makeover
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Capital Development Authority Ali Nawaz Awan on Thursday said that his government's top priority is to modernise the federal capital to bring it at par with the capitals of developed countries.
He said that the government has to uplift rural areas of Islamabad for which all available resources are being utilized, adding that the federal government has allocated sufficient funds in the budget to ensure completion of the ongoing development schemes in the Islamabad Capital Territory.
During his visit to a market in Sector H-9, he said, "Islamabad is changing whether it is rural or urban area as development projects are under way ".
He added that criticism over the budget by the opposition parties without going through it was irresponsible on their part.
Awan maintained that parking problems at the market would be resolved to cater to the people visiting the market for shopping. He further lauded the role of the NCOC for effectively curbing the spread of coronavirus, urging the citizens not to believe in rumors and get vaccinated against the deadly virus at the earliest.
