Police constable stabbed to death at his residence

Police have launched an investigation into the incident

A police constable was murdered with knives by unidentified suspects in Kahna on Thursday.

According to details, the victim Abdul Qayyum, a police constable was deployed in the judicial wing at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh.

On Thursday morning, his brother came to visit him at his house and found him dead in a pool of blood.

The unidentified suspect had stabbed him in the head which led to his demise.

The family of the victim informed the police. A police team reached the residence of the slain constable and shifted the body to the morgue for an autopsy.

They also collected forensic evidence from the crime scene to identify the assailant.

The family alleged that the victim had contracted a second marriage and the family of his wife would often threaten to kill him.

The brother of the victim, Javed Iqbal, told the police that his brother had expressed his apprehensions about their ill motives before him. Police are probing the murder in detail.
