429,677 people get Covid jabs in Faisalabad
As many as 429,677 people have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Faisalabad district. District health officer said on Thursday that 326,126 citizens had been given the first dose while 65,670 were administered the second dose of vaccine.
He said that 24,300 health workers were also given the first dose while 13,581 received the second dose of vaccine. He said that sufficient stock of anti-coronavirus vaccine was available in the district.
He said that 34 vaccination centers were operational in Faisalabad where registered persons were also getting anti-coronavirus vaccine doses. To facilitate the people these centers had been established in various areas of the city.
At least 16 more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Faisalabad during the last 24 hours.
According to the Health Department spokesperson, 992 coronavirus tests were conducted in public and private sector labs during this period.

He said that total active cases in Faisalabad were reduced to 272, while 20,200 patients have so far recovered from the disease.
Spokesperson added that 339 beds were allocated at the Allied Hospital, 133 at the DHQ Hospital and 150 at Government General Hospital Ghulam Muhammad Abad for Covid-19 patients.
At present, at least 75 patients were under treatment at the Allied Hospital, 30 at DHQ Hospital and seven were admitted to General Hospital.
