Intel reports say attacks may occur on August 14 and 27th of Ramazan.

LAHORE:

Pakistani Intelligence agencies have revealed that the group of Ilyas Kashmiri, aided by the Afghan Taliban insurgents, is plotting attacks on important installations, including interior ministry’s buildings and police training centres.

Ilyas Kashmiri, the chief of the dreaded 313 Brigade, was reportedly killed in a US predator strike in South Waziristan Agency earlier this year. However, US officials believe he’s still alive.

Another terrorist outfit is also planning suicide attacks on police lines in Sargodha. A vehicle packed with explosives has been prepared for attacks on August 14 and on the 27th of Ramazan, sources told The Express Tribune.

Sources said that a person called the Punjab Highway Patrol’s control room in Lahore from an undisclosed location and said that he overheard a group of people of Afghan origin at a mosque in Khalsia Chungi No 9, Sargodha, who were planning a suicide attacks on Sargodha’s police lines.

According to an intelligence report, terrorists were likely to use a 2009-model vehicle bearing fake registration number of Islamabad, for a suicide attack.

Separately, Hakeemullah Mehsud, chief of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), has warned the government to get US drone strikes stopped or else his group would unleash a hell in the country.
