Covid-19 claims 50 more lives in Punjab
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 50 more lives in Punjab whereas 1,707 fresh infections were reported across the province during the past 24 hours.
According to the data shared by the spokesperson for the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) on Sunday, the number of coronavirus cases in the province exceeded 304,880.
Reportedly, the death toll had reached 8,550 while total recoveries were 250,033 in the province.

The P&SHD confirmed that 826 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, 22 in Kasur, 26 in Sheikhupura, seven in Nankana Sahib, 99 in Rawalpindi, six in Attock, three in Jhelum, nine in Lodhran, 15 in Muzaffargarh, nine in Dera Ghazi Khan, 25 in Layyah, three in Rajanpur, 12 in Rahim Yar Khan, 77 in Bahawalpur, four in Chakwal, 26 in Gujranwala, 12 in Hafizabad, 15 in Mandi Bahauddin, 25 in Sialkot, six in Narowal and 14 in Gujrat.
The provincial health department has so far conducted 4,622,775 tests for Covid-19.They urged the citizens to follow SOPs for their protection and cover their faces with masks. The people should wash their hands with soap several times in a day.
