Covid-19 claims 90 more lives in Punjab
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 90 more lives across Punjab while 2,068 fresh infections were reported across the province during the past 24 hours.
According to the data shared by the spokesperson of Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD), the number of coronavirus cases in the province exceeded 303,180 while total deaths had reached 8,500.
The total recoveries across Punjab were 247,050.
The P&SHD confirmed that 891 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Lahore, 11 in Kasur, 25 in Sheikhupura, one in Nankana Sahib, 161 in Rawalpindi, two in Jhelum, three in Chakwal, 40 in Gujranwala, six in Hafizabad, four in Mandi Bahauddin, 18 in Sialkot, four in Narowal, 14 in Gujrat, 109 in Faisalabad, 12 in Toba Tek Singh and 18 in Chiniot. The provincial health department has so far conducted 4,605,929 tests for Covid-19.
The P&SHD officials had urged the citizens to follow SOPs for their protection and cover their faces with masks.
The people should wash their hands with soap several times in a day to protect themselves from Covid-19.
