30-bed ICU inaugurated in Quetta

QUETTA:

Balochistan Health Secretary Noor-ul-Haq Baloch inaugurated the largest and most modern 30-bed medical ICU in the history of Balochistan on Tuesday.

He added that modern medical equipment and machinery has been installed in the ICU to be set up in Civil Hospital Quetta.

“All resources will be mobilised to provide the best treatment facilities to the patients,” the health secretary said.

Baloch highlighted that medical staff has been deployed for the ICU and a separate budget will be allocated for ICU medicines. “The establishment of an ICU will be a gift to the people of Balochistan.”

It consists of 30 beds and seven ventilators apart from an uninterrupted oxygen supply.

“Special attention and important steps are being taken in the health sector in Balochistan to provide quality health services to the people in a timely manner,” Health Secretary Baloch concluded.

The positivity rate of Covid cases in the province continue to rise.
