PM meets Russian investors
The government is committed to providing business-friendly environment to investors to attract the much-needed foreign direct investment (FDI), said Prime Minister Imran Khan. He was talking to a delegation of leading Russian businessmen, who called on him on Monday and expressed keen interest in investing in different projects in Pakistan. Increased cooperation between Russia and Pakistan in large-scale manufacturing (LSM), railways and energy sectors was discussed in detail during the meeting. Both sides agreed on expediting work on the projects that were already in the pipeline. The delegation included TMK Chairman of Board of Directors Dmitry Pumpyanskiy, Mikhail Popov and Alexander Pumpyanskiy. From Pakistan’s side, Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar, Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Fayyaz Tarin, Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood and Special Assistant to the PM on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Bukhari participated in the meeting.
