Another 673 Covid cases detected in Sindh

As many as 673 fresh coronavirus cases were reported against 12,022 tests in Sindh on Saturday, while the deadly virus claimed seven more lives in the province, according to a statement issued by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on the day.

The CM said after the recent detections and deaths, the Covid-19 tally in the province had soared to 272,196, and the death toll had climbed to 4,551.

According to him, of the new cases, 408 were confirmed in Karachi and 99 in Hyderabad.

The CM further stated that 330 more coronavirus recoveries had been reported in the province, lifting the total number of recovered patients to 260,122.

As of now, he said, 7,523 patients were under treatment in Sindh, 7,143 of whom were in home isolation, 10 in isolation centres and 370 in hospitals. The condition of 343 of them is critical and 43 are on ventilator, the CM added.
