Football: Chelsea may miss Torres against Stoke
Being substituted in Spain’s game against Italy because of a mild concussion.
BARI:
Fernando Torres is in danger of missing Chelsea’s Premier League opener on Sunday after being substituted in Spain’s game against Italy because of a mild concussion. Andre Villas-Boas’ verdict on the matter of whether Fernando Torres or Didier Drogba is the best man to spearhead Chelsea’s attack in the upcoming campaign looks set to be delayed with Torres a major doubt for their first match away at Stoke. The £50 million man lasted just 14 minutes of Spain’s friendly away to Italy, in which the world champions fell to a slightly surprising 2-1 defeat, before being replaced by Fernando Llorente having suffered a mild concussion.
