Pizza boy shot dead for resisting robbery bid

Victims was on his way home when suspects tried to snatch his motorcycle

A pizza boy was shot dead when he tried to resist a robbery in the district where the incident took place near Malikpur area. Robbers snatched a motorcycle from a pizza boy who was returning home after completing his duty on Thursday night when he was killed by the robbers. According to the police report, 24-year-old Zainul Abidin, a resident of Chak No 203 RB Malikpur, used to work at a pizza shop located in Susan Road, Madina Town.

He was on his way to Malikpur from Kashmir Bridge after completing his duty when robbers blocked his way and snatched a motorcycle from Zainul Abidin. Upon his resistance, the robbers shot him in the chest and arm, injuring him and he succumbed to the injuries. Police handed over the body of the deceased to his heirs after postmortem. A case has been registered under Sections 302 (punishment of murder) and 392(punishment for robbery) against the unidentified robbers on the statement of the father of the deceased Abdul Razzaq
