Covid infection rate at 10-month high in ICT
The weekly infection rate of coronavirus in Islamabad reached 11.28 per cent on Sunday, which is the highest it has been in 10 months.
A District Health Authority (DHA) spokesperson said that 5,317 cases were reported in the federal capital this past week.
Islamabad District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Zaeem Zia said the weekly infection rate from March 22 to March 28 remained 9.69 per cent with 4,180 Covid-positive cases reported during the week.

From March 16 to 21, the infection rate stood at 8.71 per cent with 3,704 cases while 2,191 cases were recorded between March 8 and 15 as the infection rate remained 5.03 per cent, they added.
Moreover, the infection rate remained at 4.15 per cent from March 1 to 8 with 1,260 cases while it was only 2.65 per cent between February 22 and 28.
Similarly, from February 15 to 21 the infection rate was 2.67 per cent as 807 positive cases were reported in Islamabad.
From February 8 to 14, the infection rate at a mere 2.07 per cent with 656 positive cases while from February 1 to February 7, the rate of coronavirus cases was 1.57 per cent with 575 infections surfacing during that week.
