Around 60 schemes approved under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2020-21 and being carried out by the Sindh Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Rural Development (RD) Department are expected to reach completion by the end of this year, Sindh PHE and RD Minister Mir Shabbir Ali Bijarani was told on Saturday.
The minister, who was presiding over a meeting called to review the progress of schemes approved under the ADP, was informed by PHE and RD department officials that the cost of the 61 schemes, which they expected to execute by the end of 2021, added up to Rs5.74 billion.
According to the officials, the execution of some of the projects is facing delays due to land issues.
Bijarani directed the officials to ensure the completion of all schemes approved under the ADP within the stipulated time and resolve land issues impeding the completion of projects with the assistance of relevant district administrations.
