The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) sealed an illegal building which was under construction at a private housing society on Asghar Mall Road on Sunday.
RDA said the action was part of a grand operation under way against illegal housing societies.
According to a statement an unauthorised multi-storey plaza was under construction at plot number 20 in Eid Gah Housing Scheme situated on Asghar Mall Road.
Further, a first information report (FIR) was also registered against Roden Enclave Managing Director (MD) Usman Qureshi.
RDA has put on banners and panaflex against illegally constructed Dominion Mall Phase 8 and Minara Heights on GT Road for public awareness.
Meanwhile, RDA also issued challans against five illegal housing societies including Faisal Qayyum, Rawal City, Amazon City, Iqra City, and Khayabane Iftikhar.
The authority issued notices to Hamdard City and Morgah sub-division while it has recovered Rs 85.10 million from different private housing schemes under different fees/charges.
