Buzdar wants strict implementation of SOPs

LAHORE:

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed the district administration and police to ensure strict implementation of coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) to protect the lives of citizens.

“All precautions measures should be adopted. The third dangerous wave of coronavirus can only be controlled with public support,” he remarked while presiding over a high-level meeting through video link from Multan to review the recent coronavirus pandemic wave and preventive measures taken in this regard, on Saturday.

He urged the people to follow the restriction of wearing a facemask.

The meeting expressed deep concern over the persistent surge in the number of Covid-19 cases in Punjab. Buzdar directed the authorities to follow coronavirus SOPs strictly and warned the no negligence would be tolerated in the implementation of the SOPs.

The meeting was informed that 2,330 new corona patients have been reported in Punjab and 48 coronavirus victims have died in the last 24 hours.
