Seven family members perish in highway accident

At least seven members of a family including women and children were killed while two others sustained severe injuries in a road accident on main Quetta-Taftan highway near Balochistan’s Mastung town on Wednesday.

According to Levies sources, the deceased persons were travelling to Nushki when their car met with an accident and collided with a passenger coach near Padin area of Tehsil-Girdgap.

As a result of the accident, six family members died on the spot.

Sources familiar with the matter added that the bodies and injured persons were shifted to a nearby hospital, where one of the injured succumbed to his wounds.

The ill-fated family were residents of Killi Faqir Abad Nushki. The bodies were handed over to their heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities. The injured persons were referred to Quetta for further treatment.
