Walk-in inoculation facility for senior K-P citizens
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government on Wednesday allowed senior citizens of the province to avail the w alk-in vaccination facility in the entire province.
This development was confirmed by Public Health Director Dr Ikram Ullah.
While speaking to The Express Tribune, he said that this facility is for those elderly citizens who did not receive their code despite the registration process. “Now they can go to any vaccination centre across K-P and get their Covid-19 jabs.”
Dr Ikram Ullah added that the government has already established scores of vaccination centres in every district hospital.
“Anyone who meets the criteria devised by the health department can get vaccinated by availing the walk-in facility,” he said.

“Those persons who were registered and did not receive their respective codes for vaccinations can reach the nearest hospitals with their ID cards.”
Dr Ikram Ullah maintained that elderly family members who have not registered themselves or if their name is not appearing in the registration database can also get their coronavirus jabs after walking in into any vaccination centre.
“We are aware that many people do not have access to the internet and hence it is a problem for them to register themselves.”
The public health director confirmed that this decision has been taken by the government after a thorough consultative process.
