KURIANWALA:

Two stores caught fire due to a short circuit in separate incidents in Khurrianwala on Tuesday.

As a result, goods worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were burnt to ashes. Rescue 1122 said a fire broke out in Qasim Electric Store in Bhowana Bazaar area of Kotwali due to flames emanating from UPS.

The flames engulfed the goods inside the store and burnt them to ashes. Four vehicles of Rescue 1122 reached the spot and controlled the fire.

Meanwhile, a fire broke out in a cloth shop and its warehouse, located at Sammundari Road, Ali Town, Mandi Morr, due to a short circuit. The fire engulfed the clothes and garments lying in the warehouse and burnt them to ashes.

Five vehicles of Rescue 1122 reached the spot and controlled the fire after hectic efforts.

Kotwali and D-type police rushed to the spot and launched an operation after receiving reports of the fire accidents.
