Who wore it better: Janhvi Kapoor, Anmol Baloch shine in sequined saris
Saris with a hint of contemporary may be all the rage these days but if you ask us, there is only so much you can do to jazz up a traditional outfit into a fusion of the east and west. The amalgamation usually results in similar-looking saris. But how one carries it speaks volumes too, making it easier to decide who wore it better.
Pakistani starlet Anmol Baloch recently stunned in a mint green sequined sari by local brand Curated.
Stealing the show in a strikingly similar vibe was Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor, clad in a lavender sari.
Baloch, commonly known from the serial Deewar-e-Shab, looked radiant in the number, adding just the right amount of glow. The sari featured a flowy georgette fabric embellished with sequins in the same shade to add some glitz and glamour. A fad that never gets old, many stars from B-town have been spotted draped in shimmery saris in the past too, be it Deepika Padukone or Madhuri Dixit.
The Roohi actor wore a lavender sari embellished with iridescent purple sequins, looking glamourous as ever. The Manish Malhotra lowcut number with a bralette-style blouse is still a fan favourite due to its intricate add-ons and of course, Janhvi, who carried it effortlessly. When it comes to drawing comparisons, we feel both style icons stole the show in pastel picks. Who do you think wore it better?
