Why can’t people be happy in others' happiness, asks Hania Aamir

Actor recently took to Instagram and shared a post with a thought-provoking caption

Hania Aamir is no stranger to online bullying and trolls. While she has always been active on social media, frequently posting pictures and videos, Hania is often subjected to unnecessary hate and criticism. The Ishqiya star recently received flak for celebrating her birthday amid the Covid-19 pandemic. As clips and images from her intimate party went viral on the internet, netizens were quick to call her out.

Hania then took to Instagram and shared a post with a thought-provoking caption. Posting a picture of herself, she penned, "I pride myself on being the person that I am today.” Hania added, "Yes, I make the most of each day. Yes, I speak my mind. Yes, you might think I’m too much. I am. I am all of these things. I am extra. Extra. I love more. Laugh more. Feel more. Every emotion is heightened and that is the person that I am.”

The Parwaaz Hai Junoon starlet continued, “But what I’ve been seeing on social media lately, makes me not sad exactly but confused." She questioned how people don’t feel happy when they see others succeed. “How can people not be okay with seeing someone happy? Why can’t people be happy in others' happiness? Is somebody smiling can put you off? Because they’re not what you expect them to be or they don’t lead their life how you do?"

Reflecting on the past year, Hania said, "There are all kinds of people in this world. Some you get some you don’t but hate is not even an option. At least not in 2021 when we’ve seen so much together as a world." She concluded by saying, "Kindness is attractive. Being supportive is attractive. Respecting people is attractive. Co-existing with a difference of opinion is attractive." Ending her post on a light-heart note, she wrote, "Basically, I am amazing you should get to know me."
