CTD DIG wants MQM-L terrorist repatriated from Belgium
Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) DIG Omar Shahid sent a report on Tuesday to the Sindh IGP and requested him to seek legal help from the Belgian authorities for the arrest of a terrorist affiliated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L), identified as Saleem al known as Saleem Belgium alias Saleem Baloch.
The CTD DIG informed the Sindh police chief that Saleem was responsible for running teams of target killers and there was evidence he was involved in three incidents of terrorism besides collection of money for funding terrorist activities.
The DIG said in his letter that CTD personnel recently arrested MQM-L terrorist Wahid Hussain alias Saudagar. During interrogation he made startling revelations, he said.
According to him, Saleem Belgium, a Belgian citizen, is also involved in various crimes committed in Europe.

The CTD DIG furnished evidence in his letter.
It stated that MQM-Pakistan leaders Khawaja Izharul Hasan, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Amir Khan, and Faisal Sabzwari were attending a milad conference organised by the MQM on December 8, 2018 which was attacked by terrorists on Saleem's orders. These leaders remained unhurt in the attack. In another terrorist act committed on his orders, Pak Sarzameen Party's (PSP's) office was attacked on December 23, 2018. A PSP worker was killed while several others were injured in the attack. The MQM founder lauded Saleem via Whatsapp call following the incident, the DIG stated.
Other terrorist acts were also carried out in Karachi on Saleem's orders and FIRs of the incidents were registered in different police station.
The letter stated the Belgian law enforcement authorities be asked to hand over Saleem to Pakistani authorities to stand trial for his terrorist acts.
