The Rawalpindi City Traffic Police (CTP) has launched a crackdown against people going about in vehicles with tinted windows in view of the security situation ahead of Pakistan Day on March 23. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal has formed a special squad to take action against owners and drivers of vehicles with tinted windows and issued special orders to all DSPs of circles to take strict and non-discriminatory action against such vehicles. CTO said that the decision had been taken to improve the law and order situation ahead of Pakistan Day. Therefore, he added that strict checking will be carried out on all entry and exits of the city, and challan tickets will be issued to tinted vehicles with tinted windows besides the removal of the black coat. The CTO pledged that the action would be conducted indiscriminately with zerotolerance for any kind of excuse.
